Welcome

Understanding, collaborative, and meaningful support

My personal and professional experiences have given me a unique understanding of the joys, challenges, and complexities that many neurodivergent people and families navigate every day.

As both a practitioner and parent, I understand that life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Families are often balancing appointments, school challenges, emotional regulation, advocacy, service systems, daily responsibilities, and the ongoing task of supporting a child or young person whose needs may not always be understood by others.

I work alongside children, teenagers, adults, and families to improve quality of life through understanding, collaboration, and meaningful support.

My role is not to judge, blame, or tell families what they are doing wrong. My role is to listen, understand, and work collaboratively with the person and the people around them to identify what is contributing to challenges and what can be changed to improve wellbeing and quality of life.

Who I work with

Children, families, and adults

Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or a family member, PBS is about understanding the whole person and the environments they live, learn, work, and connect within.

Children & young people

Neurodivergent children and young people navigating school, routines, regulation, and growing independence.

Young adults

Young adults navigating transition, independence, and the shift into adult support systems.

Families

Families experiencing complex circumstances who need collaborative, non-judgemental support.

Adults with disability

People living with disability, particularly psychosocial disability, trauma, and significant life challenges.

Your PBS journey

A collaborative process

Positive Behaviour Support is a collaborative process. Below is an overview of what you can expect when working with me.

1
Stage 1

Getting to Know You

During our first few visits, I will spend time getting to know the person, their family, their support team and the people who are important in their life.

2
Stage 2

Understanding Your Needs

Over the following months, I will gather information about your daily life and experiences.

3
Stage 3

Developing Your Behaviour Support Plan

Within the first month or two, an Interim Behaviour Support Plan will be developed. This plan provides immediate strategies to support wellbeing and safety while further information is gathered.

4
Stage 4

Putting the Plan into Practice

A Behaviour Support Plan is only effective when it is used. My role extends beyond writing reports.

5
Stage 5

Ongoing Review and Support

People grow, circumstances change, and support needs evolve. Your Behaviour Support Plan will be reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to reflect your goals, strengths, and current needs.

My approach

Understanding people, not changing them

Three fundamental human needs that frequently emerge in my work

Connection

Feeling understood and safe

Feeling understood, valued, and safe in relationships is foundational to positive change.

Competence

Building capability

Supporting people to feel capable, successful, and able to navigate everyday life.

Control

Meaningful choice

Creating opportunities for meaningful choice, autonomy, and influence over one's own life.

Working together

Working Together

Together, we can build supports that work with you, not against you, while improving quality of life and creating opportunities for growth, connection, and wellbeing.
