Disability Education

Understanding disability together

Helping people, families, support teams, and schools understand disability — so environments become safer, more responsive, and more inclusive.

Disability education is about building shared understanding. When the people around someone understand the disability they are living with, support becomes clearer, expectations become fairer, and everyday environments can change in meaningful ways.

I work with private clients and Department for Child Protection (DCP) supported clients across the Murraylands to deliver practical, respectful education tailored to the person and the people supporting them.

Who this is for

Education is available for private clients, DCP-supported clients, and the people around them.

Private clients

Families, carers, and individuals seeking education outside of NDIS-funded Positive Behaviour Support, including privately arranged sessions.

DCP supported clients

Children and young people supported through the Department for Child Protection, along with the carers and professionals around them.

Support teams & schools

Educators, support workers, allied health teams, and carers who want practical understanding they can use in everyday environments.

What disability education can include

Sessions are tailored to the person and context. The focus is understanding — not labelling — so that the person, their supporting teams, and schools can respond with greater clarity and care.

  • Education for the person about the disability they are living with
  • Guidance for families, carers, and support teams
  • School-focused education to strengthen understanding in learning environments
  • Practical strategies that help people feel safer, more understood, and better supported

Disability and trauma

I have a strong interest in the navigation of disability and trauma — how they can intersect, and how that intersection shapes behaviour, relationships, learning, and day-to-day life.

My approach is trauma-informed and person-centred. Education is delivered with care for safety, dignity, and the lived realities of the people involved.

Resources to build understanding

I also develop resources to support building understanding of disability for people, families, and the teams around them. Browse available resources in the Shop.
